Marian Hill is a clinical psychology practicum student at Chicago DBT Institute. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, her master’s degree in psychological sciences and research, and will earn a second master’s degree in clinical psychology in August 2026 while pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at Adler University. Marian has prior experience working in community mental health, where she provided case management, crisis intervention, and support to children and families in both outpatient and urgent care settings. Marian also has experience facilitating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills in a residential forensic psychiatric setting and has continued to integrate DBT-informed approaches across clinical environments.
Marian’s clinical interests are grounded in a developmental and trauma-informed framework, with a particular emphasis on relational and psychoanalytic perspectives. She has experience working with adolescents and young adults presenting with complex trauma, emotional dysregulation and reactivity, and involvement in systems such as foster care and the juvenile justice system. She approaches her work with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, striving to create a space that is authentic, collaborative, and grounded in both validation and thoughtful challenge.
In her free time, Marian enjoys spending time with her dog, Rosie, reading and listening to audiobooks, and playing board games with friends and family.
