Be part of a Certified DBT Team!

Now hiring Masters Level Clinicians, Postdoctoral Fellows and Clinical Psychologists at Chicago DBT.

Chicago DBT Institute (CDBTI) is a well-respected, premiere private practice providing outstanding comprehensive DBT clinical services on the beautiful North Shore of the Chicago suburbs. CDBTI is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Program, the first certified program in Illinois, and currently one of very few certified programs in the country. Dr. Kay Segal, the Certified Team Lead is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician. Several other Clinicians at CDBTI are DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinicians. These honors demonstrate that our program and clinicians deliver comprehensive DBT with fidelity to the treatment model, demonstrating our commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our clients.

Chicago DBT provides a full array of DBT services for older children (10+), teens, and adults exhibiting emotion dysregulation issues and/or borderline personality disorder traits. In addition to the full-package program (weekly individual and skills training/multifamily sessions), supplemental offerings include Parent Training, DBT for Addiction, Mindfulness Training, DBT for college students, and DBT graduate groups.

CDBTI is actively seeking Masters level, postdoctoral fellows and/or Doctoral level clinicians to join our wonderful, cohesive team. Responsibilities include running weekly skills training groups, conducting individual DBT therapy sessions, 24/7 phone coaching (coaching duties are assigned on a week-long on call basis, responsibility for call occurs every few months), and participation in a consultation team. This is a full time, 5-days per week clinical position. The work week is Sunday through Thursday, with weeknight hours required to serve our clients’ needs. Compensation is based on a split-fee for billed services model. The average first year annual wages earned is approximately $65K - $85K+, fantastic health, dental and vision insurance, great training opportunities and a Simple IRA. The first 3 months, a minimum pay is provided until caseload hours are built up. Most clinicians surpass the minimum hours well before the end of 3 months and have a robust caseload by the end of the first year. Weekly supervision is provided. All CDBTI staff are required to attend a Behavioral Tech Foundational Training in DBT (paid for by CDBTI).

Experience in DBT is wonderful, but not necessary. If you’re the right fit, we will train you to be a great DBT therapist!

To apply please submit your letter of interest, Curriculum Vitae, transcripts and 2 letters of recommendation via email to Dr. Kay Segal at kay@cdbti.com
